Polyisobutylene(PIB) is a colorless, odorless, non-toxic viscous or semisolid material, heatresistance, resistance to oxygen, ozone, weather resistance, uv resistance,acid and alkali chemical performance is good, the after the lubricating oiladditives, polymer processing, pharmaceutical and cosmetics, food additives,etc all have very important USES. Low relative molecular mass of PIB can beused to produce the ash dispersing agent, sealants, adhesives, pharmaceuticalsand cosmetics moisturizing factor etc.
PIB of medium molecular weight is mainly used as gum base, insulating glasssealant and agricultural insecticide.
